Allstar Roofing & Repair

Emergency Roof Services

Storm damage. Active leaks. Trees on the roof. We respond fast across Tampa Bay — usually on-site within 4 hours.

We answer 24/7

Our line is staffed around the clock, every day, including weekends and holidays. Roofs do not fail at convenient hours, and a leak that starts at 2am does not wait until Monday to do damage. Call (813) 522-6912 whenever it happens. We keep crews on call for active leaks and can usually get a tarp or temporary patch in place within four hours.

When to call us immediately

  • Active interior leak during rain
  • Missing shingles after a storm
  • Tree limb impact
  • Wind damage visible from the ground
  • Water stains spreading on ceilings

What to do before we get there

Get everyone away from the affected rooms and stay off the roof. More people are hurt after storms falling off wet roofs than during the storm itself.

  1. Kill power to any room with water near fixtures or wiring
  2. Move furniture out and put buckets under active drips
  3. If a ceiling is bulging with trapped water, punch one small hole at the low point to drain it in a controlled spot — that is far cheaper than letting the whole ceiling come down
  4. Photograph everything before you clean up, from inside and from ground level outside

What we do on arrival

  1. Assess the damage safely
  2. Tarp or temporarily seal the leak
  3. Photograph and document everything we find
  4. Schedule permanent repair or replacement

First priority is always stopping water. We tarp and dry-in the affected area so the damage stops growing while the permanent repair gets scheduled and materials get ordered. Then we do a full inspection, because the leak you called about is often not the only opening a storm left. You get dated photos of everything we find, from the roof and from the ground, in a written report.

Emergency tarping and dry-in

Tarping is not the repair, it is what buys you the time to do the repair properly. We fasten a tarp over the opening so wind does not peel it off overnight, and where the roof is open across a larger area we dry it in: underlayment mechanically fastened down over the exposed deck, which sheds water for weeks rather than days and lets you wait out a materials backorder or a permit without the ceiling coming down. After a widespread storm, dry-in is often the honest answer, because every roofer in the county is booked and a tarp that was meant to last four days will not last four weeks.

Commercial emergencies

Commercial work runs on the same on-call crews and the same four-hour target. A leak over inventory, a sanctuary, a server room, a classroom or a patient area is costing money by the hour, so the first job is always stopping the water and the diagnosis happens once the building is dry. On flat and low-slope systems the entry point is frequently nowhere near the stain, because water travels along the deck before it finds a seam to come through, so we trace it properly rather than patching the wet spot on the ceiling. We work around your hours where we can and we will tell you plainly when a repair has stopped being worth it.

After a named storm

Tampa Bay hurricane season runs June through November, and the week after a storm is when out-of-state storm chasers show up. Before you sign anything with anyone, check that they hold a Florida license — ours is CCC1337558 — and that they will still be here in year three when a workmanship claim comes up. Free inspections and written estimates should never cost you a deposit.

Once the emergency is stabilized, see roof repair or roof replacement for the permanent fix.
